What To Look For When Buying Crop Insurance

1. Experience

At The Ag Agency, Inc., our farming and insurance experience is what sets us apart from other agencies. Plain and simple, you want someone who knows the challenges of farming from a farmer’s prospective, and we’ve been there. We’ve been on your side of the fence. Between all our agents in the office, we have over 65 years farming experience, and 50 years crop insurance experience. So, you can have confidence in knowing we understand Crop Insurance, like nobody else in the business.

2. Capabilities

When you combine our Experience with Innovation, you get an agency that strives to be the best we can be for you. We represent 4 of the 7 top insurance companies. We work hard to stay current with all the latest programs and options for you, but at the same time know when to recommend insurance coverage that is more tried and true. We’ve paid crop insurance premiums and want you to get the most for your insurance dollar.

3. Innovation

With the experiences we have had, we have developed tools making MPCI information easy to understand. We were the first in the area to offer GPS mapping, but quickly discovered they were not always easy to read. Using today’s technology, we now create our farm maps based on the hand-made maps from our earlier farming experience that were user friendly. Some of the information from the farm maps created for you are integrated throughout the MPCI forms to make for easy tracking of your field/section/crop/APH info. Our Personalized Management Binder, and Harvest Binder, are two tools we have created to help you keep track of your day-to-day operations. They are especially helpful when it comes time to turn in acreage and production reports, along with planting dates, crop/variety, chemical/fertilizer application, etc. At your request, we will E-mail your completed Legend Map(s) to your FSA office(s).  Also, beginning in 2018, we are proud to be the only agency in the area to offer immediate binding for Crop-Hail Insurance with competitive rates.

4. A Dedication to Producers & Insurance

One of the big things we pride ourselves on is education. We want you to know what different programs and options are available, so that you can make informed decisions in managing your financial risks. Learning begins with our annual meeting every February where we discuss crop insurance updates, new products, FSA programs, marketing, all while having company representatives present to ensure all topics and questions can be answered and discussed thoroughly. We complete this knowledge base when we sit down with you and review your operations’ needs before each Sales Closing Dates. You have worked hard and have a huge investment. There is a lot of financial risk involved in agriculture. Let us help, put us to work for you today.
